And your point is? reality is, if 1 shouldn't go, then the other has no business there either. Both contribute to the child being in this world. Both are responsible. Ergo, it's NOT simply the role of 1 to stay behind simply because of gender. Some people need to get over that kind of bs. It's hard on families NO MATTER who is over there.
It is irresponsible to condemn women whom elect to work with abandoning their children! Furthermore, why should anyone complain about women leaving their children to go to Iraq? These women have no choice- once enlisted, if a soldier opts to stay home, they will be imprisoned for treason. The women in Iraq, torn from their children, are nothing less than heroes! How can you even think to degrade these working women in particular. You are truly ignorant, and I would wager that you voted for the administration that sent our soldiers to Iraq in the first place. On a final petty note: it's sweeterTHANyou. Then refers to time. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/then
Let us hope the men AND women will be home from Iraq soon. Other then that I think it is odd and somewhat insulting to use the situation in Iraq in the context the OP has.
