Once again it is amazing to watch women turn on one another and very few people raise the obvious question. Why doesn't anyone ever ask what impact the father leaving the home to work has on children?

If Obama was a young white woman running for President this would be part of the National conversation but the only reason that we wonder what happens to children when the mom HAS to work outside of the home is because the father is already gone.

Who in fact is raising the Obama kids? His wife works pretty much full time back in Chicago while Obama is down in DC during the week. Does she have a nanny? HOw many of us do?

Does it bother you that he doesn't have to think twice about the impact of his job on his kids? Why is this a women's only issue? In Europe they let both parents take up to six months off after the birth of a child and have far far lower problems with poverty, child abuse, juvenile delinquency and adult crime as well.

What would our society look like if we honored the value of children and respected people who help raise them either by working at home or by participating in the work force and paying taxes for other people's kids to have schools? Most families with 2 kids at home don't pay any federal taxs so it really is a community effort.
