There is nothing wrong with a mom that works!! My mother had a full time job my entire life. I went to daycare, granted i hated daycare, but oh well. I had to learn to deal with things i didn't like, anways, right? I think i turned out pretty damn well thank you very much!!!! I think it is fantastic that a women, who has slaved away for her family for countless years, to get a chance of a life time. It does not make her any less of a mom or a women. Nothing against stay at home moms, thats fantastic too. But just because you have children doesn't mean you automatically become get hired to be at SAHM. Seriously people, get real. I know a few SAHM's with children who are horrible. And seriously, what right do you have to judge another parent and how they raise their kids???? They aren't abusing them....You people are NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with moms that work. I think the point most people are trying to make is that the show is offensive in that it only deals with the mother's decision and how it will influence her life. Very little credence is given to what will happen to her children if she chooses to return to work. I stay at home with my children and I am proud to do so, but it is nuts to think it is abusive if I decide to return to my career. Obviously, I have every right to make that decision for my family. TLC just forgets that it is a decision that would impact the entire family, not just the mother.

I like the mention on the article - maybe they should show up in 6 months and see what has happened. Yes they forget that the whole family is involved. Yes the first show was a success (from the article) but these reality shows tend to go down hill fast! In some cases, happy kids would be all around. In some cases - disaster.
