In the movie Live and Let Die, they create a smoke screen by revving up a sitting motorcycle. Is this even possible? Is it possible to the extent they show it? What would it take to do it to the extent they show it?

Very possible, though it takes some skill. The trick is to pull the front brake on, hard. Then while straddling the bike, with the seat unloaded, ease the throttle on while releasing the clutch. This gets the back tire spinning, while the front brake keeps the bike in place. The more you twist, the more smoke you get. Don't try it unless you've practiced!
