Had been curious about getting a tattoo for a while, but afraid to get one. My husband had already gotten two and when my daughter turned 18, I took her to get one. Well, I had talked about this for many years. We went to the mountains on our anniversary. I kept pointing out all these tattoo shops when we would go out. Well, my husband finally just whipped into one and we went in. (He didn't believe I'd do it So, I looked at a lot of flash. I finally picked a fairy that the guy had to finally freehand to get it right. So, my husband asked me before he paid if I was sure I was going to go through with it, of course I said yes. It is on my left back hip. When the guy told me to drop my shorts, my husband looked at me when I actually did it. Well, after about an hour, she has alot of detail, I got to see her. She is so cute, sitting on a crescent moon. I loved it. Everyone always told me, once you get tattoo ink in your blood, you want more. Boy are they right. That was 2 1/2 yrs ago, and I am dying to get another one. My mom had a fit. I never told her. The next March, I had to go in for some surgery. I was in the bathroom, getting ready for a shower and my mom opened the door to ask me something. Her expresion never changed and I didn't think about my tattoo. When I answered her question, she said, "okay, now turn around and tell me what that is on your butt." She wasn't very thrilled about it, but admitted it was cute. Thats okay, cause by this time I am 40yrs old. Can't wait to get another. Already have ideas for a tribute to my dad. Later!!!

That was a cute story. I can totally relate to it except I wasn't 40 when I got my first tatoo, I was 25 and it was my wedding present from my husband. Well that was my first professional tatoo anyway it is kinda hard to describe in its simplest of terms it is an eye mask with a pair of blue eyes looking out of it but not really an eye mask as the bottom of it comes down to two points kinda like a butterfly it is flash but it is really awesome flash. And I put mine at the base of my neck/top middle of my back and so now I tell my children that I have eyes in the back of my head. Course my oldest child has a smart mouth and says well technically mom it's not on the back of your head. Anyway I would love another tatoo as well but I have so many ideas on what I want to get. This time I want it to really have some special meaning you know not that the one that I have now doesn't it just I really want it to be personal.
