In 1997, my grandmother passed away, and many of my family went to great falls, montana for the funeral. While we were there we found this really great tattoo shop-tattoo york's. At the time my two aunts and my uncle decided to get tattoos while we were there. Of coarse, while there I found this little butterfly I couldn't live without. Well the next day my mother decided that she wanted a tattoo after seeing all of us with one. So we went to tattoo york's the next day and she got her first tattoo-the same little butterfly that I got the day before. We were all sorry to see my grandmother go. but what a way to send her off.
When my brother returned home from his tour in Iraq we decieded to get tat's together. My Pap (grandfather) was always giving me and my brother hell for getting then. After a few bottles of tequila he started telling us that he would get one with us the next day. So the next day at the age of 67 we got him inked for the first time. He got my grandmothers name over his heart with two little cherries. It was totally awesome to be able to share that with him.
I hear you there. My dad is over in Iraq right now. He's a civilian truck driver, convoying j56. High grade rocket fuel. He got to come home for about 10 days. It was great he picked up his brand new 05 harley davidson dyna wide glide. Then when he left, he left the bike with me to ride and take care of till he comes home.
