so what do you guys think of the "apply to get on the show" deal? in a way i think its kinda rocks but i just dont want the show to change too much cuz someone wanted their 15 minutes of fame. my favorite thing about the show is the stories and how much the tats mean to people. its good to know that just about everyone has a good reason for their tats not just something everyone was doing so they did it too you know. i dont really know if i would want to be on tv getting a tat, but thats just me, mainly cuz i wouldnt know who to get one by the are all such great artist. good luck to everyone who applies though and rock on if you make it.

When artists are at the top of their artform (such as Garver, Steve Moore, etc), they are picky about what they do and what they don't do.

They have spent their years doing repetitive work, standard tribal, and so on. They did, they moved on. They have progressed to the point where they can be picky and chose things that they find interesting and challenging to do.

So its only normal that when you have 4 quality artists (+ Kat would make 5, but she isn't regular), that they are picky and you have to apply to the show and be accepted, just as you would if you would go see them individually prior to the show ever existing.

I think it's for a job, not to get tattooed...
