A friend of my sister in law's (who is under 18) said she went to a shop with her older sister (21) and got a tatt on the back of her neck. She said they didn't ID either of them etc... (I haven't seen it, my SIL has)

Now my SIL wants to go (she's under 18 too)

I'm telling her that's not a good idea b/c if they are tattooing minors, they might not be sanitary. (Her friend doesn't look older)

Would I be a snitch to find out who they are and report them, or would it even matter?

My SIL won't tell me the name of the shop, I hope I can casually ask her friend and she would tell me.

I don't think you'd be a snitch for stopping some illegal activities.

If they are tattooing minors, lord only knows what else they are doing.

I would report it if you can get the info; you could be preventing people from possible health risks and sh*tty tattoos.

Please report them as soon as you can. It isnt snitching, like others have said, you are saving kids from the pain. I have a 16 year old son and if I was in your position I would report them.

i would find out and tell th proper people. i know someone who got a tattoo when she was 14 and is in the painfull process of getting it removed, and is badly scared where the needle went too deep, luckly she never got an infection or worse. but NO good artist would tattoo a minor. the shop i go to says "if you are under 18 please turn around and go home"

Shops like this give true artists a bad name, definately report it. If they don't have a problem breaking the law, they probably don't have a problem ignoring health codes either.

Please report them!!!!! It is againest the law in many states to tattoo on a minor. I for one being an artist myself really hate this lowlifes that do things to make our profession look "dirty". The industry has come a long way, and it's scum like that that will set us back again. You are NOT a snitch, you are a concerned person, looking out for us ALL!

However, by the time the report falls onto someone's desk who can actually do something about it, your friend will have the tattoo done.

Second step, convince your friend not to go.

REPORT THEM, CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT ALSO. THEY SHOULD OF ASKED FOR ID. I AGREE W/ bigtwinky. convince your friend not to go to this shop
