Anyone know of MI quality artists in and around Detroit, Michigan area?

Also looking for good links to japanese symbolism and what the meanings are for most of the art done (i.e. koi's, dragons, cherry blossoms mean what exactly).

I would recommend Doug Bickle at Eternal Tattoo in Livonia, MI. Doug did all the work on my half sleeve, which is made up of koi, blossoms, and peony flowers.....he does great custom work and i would certainly recommend him.

Funny you say doug brickle cause a very good friend used to tattoo with him back in the day and he just told me today to go see doug. I am leaning in the direction of what you have going on (japanese style). Placement will be my left rib cage preferably obliques to armpit. Reason getting the tattoo is i lost my grandfather and father a week apart just last may, this would be a tribute tattoo to the hardest time in my life (and also to celebrate the two greatest peole in my life). Could you send me a pic of your half sleeve so i can see the custom work he has done, i am really excited to get this done obvious reasons (and will be my 3rd tattoo)
