A place in San Deigo, year 1973.
Doc Webb went in to get out of the cold.
While waiting on a bus to go back to the Navel
base. Got a little Rose on my bi to show off
my man hood.

Everyone on the ship told me my arm would rot off.
Well last year for my Fifty birthday I got a total of fifty little roses on my arm. One for every year.

Oh the first one never was finished the bus came and I went back to the base with just the outline.

Last tat I got took six hours.
Back piece took around 45 hours.

My first was on my shoulder. It took about 3 hours. Custom work by a fantastic artist..Dr. Bond. Won't let anyone tatoo me but him. Only one of mine has color. I like the tribal black cause the work is just so awesome that I don't want anything to take away from the detailing.

I got my first tattoo with my best friend about six months after my 18th birthday. It is two horse shoes crossing surrounded by tribal on my lower back. I always said I just wanted one but now I am planing to get it added on to and will probably end up getting another one on my ankle.

I got my first in 1997, a beautiful black tribal piece on my back that took four hours... I now have two more tattoos, but that is the also the longest I have sat (or actually laid down) for a tattoo.

I got my first tattoo in 1996. I wasn't sure what I wanted and the guy told me to make sure it's what I really wanted. After some thought I got a beer mug with the words 40 oz. Playaz! under it. Its a homage to me and my best friends. That is a name we been calling ourselves since high school. I have gotten 4 more since, but that will always show love to my best friends.

An Oriental dragon around my right wrist that I got just after my 41st birthday in 2003. I've gotten more done since then, 14 so far, all of them visible except the most recent, which I'm getting finished today.
Later ya'll,

My first tattoo... oh GOSH! lol Okay, I was 15 and I ran away from home (bad girl that I was). So my best pal and I were in the big city for the first time in our lives, thinking it was *real cool* to live on the streets. So anyways, we met some other street kids who had gotten tattoos from this guy who was hoping to make it big as a tattoo artist. We went and met him. This guy could not draw to save his life! He offered to give me a free tattoo if my best friend--she was a fantastic artist--would draw the design. She drew a very beautiful pegasus for me and the guy tattooed it on my left shoulder blade. No pain, but it did tickle insanely. At the time I had a very high fever because I was a street kid living in very poor conditions and had gotten very sick. I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the final appearance of the tattoo or not. I didn't receive any after care instructions and probably couldn't have followed them in my situation if I had. I loved the design but it didn't turn out as good as it should have. All my other tattoos have been done by a fabulous professional artist. He didn't want to fix up my original tattoo so I got him to do a cover up instead, which turned out fabulous but also tickled intensely! lol

I got my first tattoo this year. In March of 2005.I gave my idea, and it took a few weeks to design. I had 4 sessions. 1 for the outline, 3 for the coloring in. It's across my lower back, a beautfully unique multicolored stained glass looking butterfly. It's actually a cross between a butterfly, a dragonfly and a spider. It's in the center...there are black tribal links on each side of it..and coming through the tribal links are the heads of two red dragons, also his claws are grabbing and squeezing my tribal links...When people ask why did I get this..it's a combonation of two things.

I feel the muticolored butterfly represents me in many ways. From my heritage, to my openess to accept all those that are different from myslef and those that are like myself, from multi-culture races, creeds, to sexual orenitation, to religon, to financial status. I''m a little flighty, and all over the place, sometimes annoying, but usually , like a butterfly, you will think pleasant thoughts about me. I am this butterfly... the black tribal links represents all my friends and family, whom I love dearly...And the dragon..well..the dragon is the side of me that is there to fight and protect everything there is about the butterfly, and the family and friends represented by the tribal links. This is the vicious, brutal, and dangerous side of me that most don't wnat to deal with. The butterfly is the center. That's what my tattoo represents.

But also a simpler thing about what I got is this..I always wanted a dragon, a tribal, and a butterfly tattoo. But I didn't want tatts all over me. So I asked for all 3 to be combined into 1 tattoo. The result I feel is quite beautiful. It is unique and mine. And that's the best thing, knowing you have something that no one else has.

I was (and still am for a couple more weeks, ok more like a month) when I got my first tattoo.I got my tattoo Nov 2nd 2005 (election day, yey me?). It says "life" in Kanji. It was only 1 session (it's rather "small" I suppose.) and the session only lasted 40 minutes, it would have laster 30 if I would have stopped laughing (yes I laughed I don't remember why I was laughing). It's solid black and has spots where my skin wouldn't take the ink as well, but it looks beautiful. I think my only fall out is, I finched majorly once because I wasn't paying attention and didn't watch him start again and I kicked him .
I'm looking forward to my future tattoos. There will be many more to come. My best friend has one in the exact same place, tribal butterfly, we got them a day apart from each other. The tattoo however was a 16th Birthday gift from my father that took me a year to pick out (I had planned it on my 15th birthday and it took me a year to figure out what I wanted...). The best part is it was supposed to be a daddy/daughter bonding project.
Much Love, thanks for letting me share.
