Im currently an apprentice but i have been pushing ink for about 2 yrs ... I did a piece in my husband who has really weather tan skin, difficult skin to work with. I knew this going into the tattoo. I used a 3L for the outline which came out fine, but in my fill in work my boss sugested i use a 14S , but I never used one before and I wanted to use a 5S. The tattoo came out like hamburger and my boss said that it was a reaction to the tattoo goo, but i know that's not true. I know for a fact that i used the 14S wrong. so my question is would the 14S cause hamburger vs a 5S that has less needles and more control?
