I know I am not the only mom who wrestles with this. Given the ban on peanut/peanut butter in just about everything, I'd struggling with what to send in my kids' lunches.
Oh my goodness! And wouldn't you know - PB is the only thing my kid will eat for a sandwich! We've had to get very creative... thankfully - a thermos has been our greatest purchase. We can now send chicken nuggets, mac and cheese and the mini cocktail hotdogs in these things! They keep the food warm - and really provide us with more options!
Have you ever checked out this site? http://www.lunchnugget.com/ She's a wizard at these super-healthy lunches. Although, I have a feeling my kids would beat me if I sent beets to school!?
Oh, so glad I read this! Fortunately, our school has separate tables for those with nut allergies, so pb is still an option. But that's been my ONLY one, as I've got a very picky eater. I love the thermos idea--now I can at least do pasta or mac & cheese. Thank you!!
