My new house has a room in which the ceiling slants from one end of the room to another, right from the floor to the opposite wall, almost at a 45 degree angle. We will be needing to turn it into a bedroom. Any ideas to decorate and maximize the space?

Start at 'small spaces' decorating magazines, and I think that HGTV has some forums and design ideas also.I don't watch ANYTHING HGTV ,but know they have a huge website and some of the former
TLC designers are now on shows there.
I usally recommend 'Doug Wilson's Website, but know it doesn't have that EXACT info.
I think they may have some ideas here,...somewhere?
