Hi everyone, I'm new here and hoping that you guys might be able to help me out. A couple weeks ago on Trading Spaces I saw an episode where Hildi was putting iron transfers on artist canvas. After she ironed them on, she used some kind of a finish to seal it and make it look kind of artistic.
I'd LOVE to do this for my mother using photos of her grandchildren for Christmas, but I don't know what supplies are needed or how exactly it was done. I just know I loved the finished result! Anyone have any info that might help me out?
Thanks in advance! - Mandy

Hi, I just read your post--did you ever find the answer? You'll need to scan your photos into your computer and then reverse the image (the way a mirror reverses an image). Next, print the reversed image on photo transfer paper after first printing it on regular paper. You can buy the transfer paper at a craft store--JoAnn's, Hobby Lobby, or Michael's. Follow the directions.
I used "Inkjet T-Shirt Transfers" that is compatible with Inkjet printers to scan and print out the Girl Scout Law from the Daisy Girl Scout Activity Book (image reversed). My co-leader ironed them onto canvas tote bags and they came out beautifully. She also used fabric paint to write each of our Daisy's names onto the tote bags so that each girl had a personalized tote. (Then we had the girls decorate the back of the tote bag with fabric markers to completely personalize them).

I hope someone can help me. One night I was watching HGTV and without paying a whole lot of attention, someone did iron transfers to canvas. It was preframed with wood. I found the directions on the HGTV site, but I have tried many time, and wasted alot of supplies and energy, and still cannot get it right. The problem is: after I iron on the transfer, I try to remove it and some of it adheres to the canvas and some don't. Leaves a horrible texture and not all the picture is visable. I really like the concerpt and HOPE that someone can help me. Do I need to buy iron on transfers just for canvas? I will appreciate any help. Thanks..
