"Stevo" the Canine Companions for Independence Service Dog -- a black lab golden retreiver cross -- was born in California, raised by a volunteer family in Colorado, and is now a Service Dog for a disabled lady named Lisa in Texas! The 6 week old puppy was named "Stevo" after Steve Irwin because of his enthusiasm, energy and pure joy! Attached is a picture at 6 weeks with a croc-stick, and one of his puppy raisers. The latest word is "Stevo" the Service Dog is committed to his family, but still full of love, enthusiasm and joy, like his name sake.
