I don't know how many people noticed (my right-handed brother was oblivious), but Curtis is a lefty. I haven't seen all the shows, but has anyone seen him use a can opener or anything of that sort on the show? I'm curious to see how the master chef deals with right-handed kitchen utensils. I--being a lefty myself--tend to fall over myself trying to manipulate things like a simple manual can opener (the family gets a good laugh).
As for can openers and such, I can remember when I lived on a ranch and we had to pry open a good nice smelling can of beans and pork. I had to work real hard to pry that can open. Do you realize that cowboys used to have to work their hands to the bone to have a decent meal while riding their horses on the range? Funny how history bogs us and we realize how important history of cowboys, can openers and such really are? Tell me a story about your experience with can openers on the range.
