As a communication expert dealing with visual imagery for more years than I want to remember, I have a thought about the carvings over the entrance to the tomb. As I understand, up to this point, there seems to be an unanswered question as to the meaning or purpose of the chevron shape above a circle as shown during the media coverage and last evening on the Discovery Channel episode.
My theory for the meaning of the carving is possibly too simple but may be worthwhile considering. Here goes: if we can come to an agreement that the soul of Jesus ascended to a higher place in God's creation and the physical body of Jesus was left on Earth, then perhaps the chevron shape depicts the ascension and the circle or globe shape depicts the soul of Jesus moving upward as guided by the chevron shape. There may also be a different meaning to those who may be doubtful of where we have come from. Here goes again: the chevron shape depicts a space ship but the globe once again depicts the spirit or soul of Jesus. This idea is a mixed thought in an attempt to bring together what we actually know and believe in through our Christian beliefs and what we are not really 100 percent sure about that there is no other life in the universe...other than Heaven.
I've seen an unexplained flying craft, fifty years ago, and it was real. I think we have only just begun to explore God's universe and with that have only just scratched the surface with understanding who we are and where we came from. It may be possible that other things exist we have no knowledge about yet which puts out the question - why is the universe so vast if Earth is the only place that God has placed His children?
