Mine stems from a Saturday morning cartoon circa 1997 .It was clay anmie show called "Bump in the night".About a kindly singing monster, the under bed monster, his name..... Mr Bumpy He lived on dirty socks.(hey this sounds weird now that I remember)anyway I loved the show even though I was a 31 at the time.It was a cute show and I loved watching it.
The 40 part of my name is well ,my age at the time I signed up last year of course now a yr older now.Changing my screen name would be silly.

Hello to everyone. Alot of neat names out there! My name is after my small female manx kitty, who has a full tail. She sits on her hind feet alot, reminding me of a meerkat! I just like too many of the meerkats to pick one name, lol!

I wish I had chosen something meerkat, but I didn't. Pinkbuni because one of the first things my DM got me when we were first dating was a stuffed pink bunny. Plus I love bunnies & have 2 now. They are litterbox trained & roam the house free always foraging for something to chew on. Unfortunately for me they quite favor my wicker furniture! Wink

hey pinkbuni, i'm glad i've found someone else that has a house rabbit. my daisy died three years ago but i had her a long time. she was really trained. she knew what words meant and we trained her with bananas. i didn't know rabbits were so smart until i got her. she was huge and all white. and don't forget, no alfalfa hay!

Hey korkie, I love my Buns too!...Wait that doesn't sound right... well you know what I mean Wink. Yeah my queen Paige, who was my 1st bun died in Feb right around the time we learned of Flower, so I was doubly devastated Frown. She taught me all about the wonderful world of house rabbits as Flower taught me all about leadership. I will miss them both always. I had another girl Sierra who passed almost 4 years ago. Both of them have memorial pages @ rainbowsbride.com I miss them so *sigh* Frown

I got my name because i read the thread about kinkajou (on the spoiler) and i was reminded of how badly she was treated after kiling mozarts pups. i then felt so bad for he i got this name. i lkove kinkajou, she was right up there with the mitch-man. kinkajou would've made a great queen of the starsky

therefore, you get "queen_kinks"

hey pinkbuni and queen_kinks. i'm finally getting around to reading some of the boards. boy pink, you really got hit hard. i can't bring myself to get another rabbit. my daisy was it. i now have 2 yorkies, 1 maltese, 1 austrailian sheohard, 1 st. bernard, a small mix, a cat, and 4 chinchillas. whew! so i get alot of love when i need it. for some reason i can't remember much about kinkajou until she killed the pups. that was really sad. i have trouble keeping everybody straight. i get so wrapped up the story that i forget who did what and who they belong to. just chalk it up to old age. heehee.

As you probably can guess, my screen name is simply my actual name, Lindsey O'Connor. Guess I just prefer simplicity....dull, dull, dull!

However, in our own burrow (the mastermeerkat site), I'm known as Lindsey O'Meerkat, which is somewhat better (our beloved mastermeerkat, who rules the site, decreed that people couldn't be known by their real names, so he suggested the O'Meerkat part....I kind of like it.

Hi, I'm pretty new , but my name has to do with sunshine (the sun being my planet) plus an old, old long-time-ago exbf having a hard yellow Cobra mustang we named 'sunshine' (my nickname stuck, he didn't), and the 0805 being my birth month and day.

And Hildy60 we must be very close in age...

I have 10 ferrets at home (meerkat cousins of a sort) - most were 'throw-aways' or not wanted any longer, and after Friday night, I gave each one a special hug, and told them that their cousin Flower was at the Bridge which made me very sad, and that I loved them all very much. Ferrets are only about 8-12" if you stand them up, have their own little 'chatter', and love to sleep in heaps. You see the resemblence...

Anyway, my email is vaangel@moose-mail.com if anyone wants to email, and you really should check out Care2.com - it's a fantastic site for anyone who is passionate about ANYTHING, I could spend hours there!

thanks for letting me ramble,
Jane in VA still missing Flower :````((((

I wanted to use the squirrel name too but I was told the name was already in use, mine are the best fed squirrels in NJ, LOL.I have 6 mice I rescued from a snakes belly, and my usual board name wouldn't make sense here in this board.

Hi, Everyone. I was surprised - astonished, actually - that no one had my name. I had written a whole list out in anticipation of having to try them all! SCmeerkatfan - I'm from South Carolina. I go to Riverbanks Zoo sometimes and it's cute to see the Meerkats when a plane is overhead; they watch it like it's a hawk. Best Regards, MaryJane

Pretty boring...but I just thought about me and Flower and that we are both Moms protecting our young. I fought for my baby on life-support for 5 years and I'm a fierce Mother, just like Flower was.

Hence, Mamameerkat!

Knightmeer - First of all, everything I could think of was taken.

I then recalled Flower's courage and thought about the meerkat (forgot his name) who saved Axel. Very chivalrous...sort of like a "Knight in shining armour" (also my alma mater's mascot was a Knight so it sort of fit).

Knight+meer{cat} = "knightmeer" {sounds like :-) nightmare}!
