Yes, Jason you were missed. I noticed that there was no Producer's clip for #7, but we still like whatever you can show us.
Hopefully the convention is at least being looked into...I promise that many of us will show up....only 6 more episodes and the season will be over....we are looking forward to seasons 5 and 6 and beyond....right?
Have a good day Jason and come back here when you have some time to visit with us....
P.S. What is the new show you are working on? Meerkat related? Ahhh.. how we wish for more...

Hi All! The new Researcher Q&A clip is live (few hours early)! Check it out here: http://animal.discovery.com/fansites/meerkat/video/video.htmlThis week's clip is in response to the following question: "Can the researchers discuss how the radio collars and chips are used to track and/or identify meerkats, how the equipment has improved over the course of the research project and what improvements, if any (better radio collars or chips), are being considered?" (new manor fan) Hope you like it! Jason Robey Interactive Producer

Hi Janelle,
I can tell you that the convention's not being looked into for this season. Sorry. I know that's disappointing.
One of the shows I'm working on is about grizzlies, one's about wolves, one's about whales, one's about mysterious creatures... I could go on. It's all super-fun!
Talk later!

Jason,
Very nice clip regarding the radio collars.
Yes, I am disappointed regarding the convention not being looked into, but we fans can possibly get our own smaller convention together.
Sounds like you are a very busy guy with all the new projects. Have fun with those.

Well, I mean, if you are really who you say you are.... Then how come episodes are getting harder to watch? They're not repeated through the week and not available on line.
I think a lot of viewers will be lost that way. Here in teh NOrth East, they will anyway.

Jason,
How exciting to watch the researchers answer my question about radio collars. I found the clip to be very informative.
I have really enjoyed watching the researchers respond to our questions each week. Thanks to everyone involved in the preparation of these clips.
Already looking forward to next week.

And the radio collars cost about 284.00 a piece. Just goes to show that it costs lots of bucks to do research.
Jason , Nice clip!! Have TPTB made it a point to tell the researchers how much we all appreciate the time they've taken out to do these clips?? And, we'd love to have more? lol

Hi Everyone,
Me, a guest speaker!? Haha! That would be kind of fun actually. If there ever is a convention, I'd love to participate.
Also, when Sarah Grace and I spoke with Prof. Tim, I let him know how much everyone here loves the Researcher Q&A clips. He was very happy to hear that.

Jason Jason Jason....Of course we would want you to be a speaker at our convention. We love you Jason...you are like our own DM of our burrow here....and your kindness towards all of us is wonderful. Better watch out. I am saving this thread in which you have stated that you would appear and speak...so, now that that is over we can start planning the convention as we now have a guest speaker already booked...IN INK!!!! Ha! And we would never never ever want you to dress like a Meerkat...although.......
(Janelle is marking her calendar and will notify ccatz to start planning with her)
Have a great rest of the day Jason....

Thank You, Janelle

Oh Jason, can this be true about MM? Please say the series isn't going off the air! Knot's Landing lasted 14 seasons & I don't believe it even had MM's good ratings! Keep my night time soap!!!!

Jason...How does Tom Flower regard his new found star status on the Meerkat Manor Forum?
Do you think he would say "hi" on a video to all of his fans?

Jason, I havent read all 7 pages of this forum but was wondering about underground filming of the burrows. On the "sciene of Meerkat Manor", one of the producers complained that they cannot get good shots underground because the camera lense can only go so far. However, this season there has been some real stunning underground scenes. Are they using different cameras? If not, I was wondering why they dont use those cameras that searches use to look for people in collapsed buildings? Those are long, flexible tubes that can go hundreds of feet. Thanks

Since I haven't read the whole thread, I appologize if this is a repeat question. I don't recall this ever being explained in MM.
How is it decided who stays behind to babysit? Do they volunteer by just staying behind?
Thanks.

Jason Robey,
Where are you? How have you been? We are all fine, but I cannot believe that you don't miss us. We have been waiting (im)patiently for you to come on and talk about MM. But no Jason. The season is over next week so we would love for you to come on and at least say hello...Please?
