it was around easter and we found a baby solid white bunny rabbit in my yard, so i know it is domesticated...it looks healthy, but it hardly ever eats and it is rather thin, dors anyone know of any illnesess it could have?
It probably doesn't have any illness at all. Domestic rabbits can not survive on their own outdoors, so it probably hasn't eaten anything since its been outdoors. That can explain why it is thin. To ensure the survival of the rabbit I would bring it to a VET. You also want to be care what you feed it. Then have very sensitive stomachs. Don't just feed it lettuce it isn't good for them it is actaully junk food for them. Also depending on how young it is it might not know how to drink from a water bottle so the best thing to do is have the water in a small mug or bowl. It was probably an easter present to a childen and it got away somehow, or the child didn't want it and they let it loss. And people don't realize that they can't survive outside on its own. It doesn't know how to. Like I said bring it to a VET and have them check it out. But make sure that the VET that deals with exotic pets. I hope that this helps and that you take it to a VET asap. Good Luck and congrats on the new pet.
