We are planning a short trip for two days and a friend is coming to feed my dwarf rabbit, will dwarf rabbits be okay for two days if a friend comes over and feeds him and checks on him do they need alot of attention or can someone give us suggestions on this matter?

Your rabbits will be fine. As long as they have food and water, they'll be just fine. If your friend can pet him or take him out of his cage for a bit, then he'll probably enjoy that, but if not, it doesn't matter too much. Just give him some extra attention when you get home. SmileOh, and make sure that your friend has a number that he can reach you/ your vet at, just in case.

Okay, o-line, that was VERY rude! I can't believe anyone would say that! A pet rabbit should never be released into the wild. And in fact, that's illegal!

i totally agree with bettabuddy, that is totally rude.o-line is out-of-line. i don't think attention is really a big issue. i love my pet dwarf rabbit, and i think that as long as you have some one who you trust to take care of it, you should be fine. just make sure it gets lots of XO's and atttention when you get home Smile

ginajibbber,
They both should b fine living in an unheated garage. Just keep them in a hutch and when it gets hot out put a frozen water bottle in so they don't get heatstroke!

Your rabbit will be fine as long as your friend gives them food and water and cleans the cage if dirty.

In all honesty you should clean the cage once to twice a week even if the cage is not dirty. And if you are not planning on showing it, then the frozen water bottle in the #1 fur condition no-no. If you arent showing it then the ice bottle will be fine. Good luch and have fun!

hey, i'm in a bit of a pickle, I want to get 2 black dwarf rabbits, but before I do, I want to know if there all that there built up to be. plus I have cats (4) and they hunt rabbits Eek , dose that mean that keeping my dwarf rabbits inside is a bad idea?
