i just got ma guinea pigs yesterday. and i have no idea how to get her to clam down. she jump every time i touch her and she back up to a corner then i get close to her cage. is that normal or .... help ?

Your guinea pig is just probably scared right now. Give her a couple of days to calm down and get used to things. She will eventually warm up to you.

She's scared. Whistle/wheat to her, give her some treats, and talk sweetly to her. After a few days,. pick her up. They are way more friendly/ cuddly outside the cage.

I know this is late but I got just got my guinea pig sunday and the guy at the pet store said you should leave her alone for a couple days to let he adjust to her new home and other surroundings before you know it she know you love her and you just want to play.

that is normal for the first couple days just leave her alone and the have her take food out her hand she will like you eventually trust me i know i have one that was just like theat now she loves me and will jump out her cage.
