This Horrible and Disgusting practise needs to be stopped desperately! ut i dont know what to do, it seems i am too young to make any difference at all but i dont want to wait as so many animals are dying!
Hi Froglady07, See my post in this forum-"farm animals in dire need" There is something you can do no matter what your age-- go vegan! That is direct action. Also let your friends and family know about the situation. We have started WARAW (Waltham Animal Rights And Welfare-- www.waraw.org)here in our community. You could think about starting a youth group to help bring awareness. You could also look into joining a local animal rights group. I know how upsetting this is, believe me. Not only are the animals suffering due to factory farming, but also the environment and people's health. It is your generation who will turn this around. I will be happy to help you in anyway I can. You can E-mail me at: tumeria33@waraw.org Tumeria
Here is a link that might help: http://www.vegforlife.org/kids_diet.htm If you explore other links from that page, it also contains some good information that you can share with your parents.Tell your parents that you can get plenty of calcium from non-dairy sources such as soy milk, tofu and dark leafy greens. You could also take a calcium supplement. There are now many non-dairy products on market that taste just like the real thing- soy yogurt, soy ice cream and soy cheese. You can get plenty of protein from tofu, beans, seitan and nuts. These do provide complete proteins and contain 0 cholesterol. With a little education, I think your parents will come around. Good luck! Tumeria
