Hey, it's my first time on here but after watching pet patrol and having a promblem with animal control today I just wanted to voice my opinon and see if anyone can look into this. Okay, Im a dog lover and really an all animal lover. Today I was outside my apartment talking to the landlord when she told me that she was waiting for the city of Cincinnati animal control. Someone had abandoned there apartment a week ago and the jerks left there dog in a small laudery room for the last seven days with no food or water. So when animal control came I had got some water and food and brought it outside to feed the poor thing when they brought it out. Animal control told us that they could not take the dog and that the dog has to have been abandoned for 24 hours before they could do anything for it. He said he was going to seal the doors and windows to make certain it had been abandoned. We asked if we could at least feed the poor thing which hasn't eaten for seven days and the city of Cincinnati animal control officer told us no and said if we did that they couldn't take the dog the next day. So we thought that when he would leave maybe we would sneek some food and water in for it but the City of cincinnati animal control said dont try to enter the apartment after he leaves. So for another 24 hours this poor dog is stuck in the laudary room with no water or food. I've done nothing but cry all day over it because I know it is suffering. It's crying is what made the neighbors call the landlord in the first place. (They didn't even know he had a dog in the apartment) ( You see all the tv ads about poor negleted animals and animal patrol on tv helping animals but the city of Cincinnati is just standing by while a dog is dying in a 6 by 8 room with no food or water. I just want to say how cruel does a city need to be? I don't see how feeding it food and water when it's already emaciated was going to hurt their case of abandonement. How could those who were set out to "rescue" animals allow one to starve to death like prisoners of war. We're not in Nazi camps are we?
