I am 27 and he is 28. As I mentioned before we have been living together for 3 years and dating that long also. We get along very well and have seemed to build a life together. I have talked about getting married, and he agrees that we will eventually.

I guess we just have different ideas about marriage. He wants to wait until we are more finacially settled and can buy a house and all that stuff. I think that is something that we should build together in our marriage. He just does not seem to want to discuss the issue. When I bring it up, he just says it will happen sooner than I think. He has been saying that for the last year!

I am just getting worried that he is comfortable with the ways things are, and that he sees no point in moving forward with our lives. I guess I am just getting to that point in my life where I want to start settling down. I don't want to be 30 getting married and then thinking about children. I just feel that I need something more out of our relationship, a stronger commitment. I belive that I should be more to him than his "girlfriend"

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for the welcome.

I think it is time for a serious discussion. If you are going to get married you should be able to discuss anything. Tell him honestly how you feel and listen to him as he tells you how he feels. If he doesn't want to talk - then you need to talk about the relationship.
