I have known this girl for a little under a year now. She is great. She just recently got out of a serious relationship. Lately we have been going out a lot more. Be it just us two or more often then not, with a bunch of friends. I was just wondering how long I should wait before telling her how I really feel (i.e. She is the greatest thing that ever happened to me)? What is the best way to tell her this and where? I'm thinking of a traditional dinner and then go from there. Is that too strong? I don't want to seem to pushy...any suggestions?!?! My thanks in advance. (Let me know if you need any more details)
How long has it been since she got out of her relationship? You should probably wait a while..but then again my husband was in a serious relationship just 2 weeks before he and I started dating. We were suppose to take it slow and just be friends but after our 4th date we knew this was it. When I split up from my ex-husband I didn't want to date anybody. I didn't go out w/ anyone for almost 2 years. We had a stormy relationship so I think that's why I refused to to go out w/ anyone. If you guys hang out then you should be able to get a "feeling" of how she is doing w/ the break-up and what she thinks about dating again. Depending on that, I would say ask her out on a "official" date. Ask her if she'd like to go out for dinner (or whatever) w/ you sometime. Nothing too fancy but personable enough to let her know that your interested in being more than just buddies. As I stated...I hope this is not too late. Good luck!
