This question is for guys in the military or that were in for a while..
I know that there are groups that donate money and gear to our guys so they can get new gear and extra goods. Can we buy you guys anything or does it have to be military supplied. I was wondering about the Crye Precision combat apparel. Its available to the public so we could just send in the full suits(if allowed).
We used to buy a lot of our own stuff. Like mag pouches, drop holsters, things like that. But they have gotten pretty good about issuing the stuff now a days.
The best thing you can do to help out our deployed troops is to send them letters saying you appreciate them, send care packages, and movies. Some good things to put in the packages are. Copenhagen Snuff (the stuff they have in country tastes like cr@p), baby wipes, beef jerky, cigarettes, and anything else that is hard to get a hold of out there.
lmao, when devilpub leaves on tour i'll send him some tactical poo colored baby wipes. This way his comrades won't sneak them cause they'll look used. Down side is he won't know if he's done wiping.
Dont forget to send magazines. We can get Maxim, Stuff, FHM, Mens Health, Playboy, and all the normal Mags from the PX. But we can not get any of the good stuff.
Now imagine if you will, a battalion of Marines coming back on ship after two months in the desert only to find that the water in your berthing area is OFF. Imagine how bad that berthing area stunk.
Oh and Typ is right. Send adult magazines as well.
