I wish Animal Planet would relent and do another season.

So do I. I've watched the DVD of season 1 until it's thin - gonna have to get another one.

I've been told that Animal Planet is adamant about no further orang island show. Heartbroken.

Without this public forum (a show) in the U.S., we fear the orangutans will drop out of the public eye.

I wonder what happen to all my orangutan friends. I mean they did a new season of meerkat manor lets do another one of my fav orangutans. I miss Sherrif Daisy

I think we all miss our furry friends, but the Orangutans are the real losers here. No show, no way to keep attention on their plight.

I would also like to put my vote in for a new season. Come on AP, bring back our red haired friends.

I used to watch Animal planet a lot, but ever since they finished they're best show with "Moving on", I haven't watch it since. In fact the only reason I joined this forum was to find out if it would ever air again, I am truly infuriated by the answer. I also agree with matomon what this meerkat manor: Next Generation, I could fall asleep during that show. I mean the thing that sets apart Orangutan Island from the rest of Animal Planet's programs is that Orangutan's have interesting behavior do to the intelligence, one that we humans can relate to, unlike these meerkats.
