Oh my....did you see the puss and uck that came out of Nida's infected snake bite? You could tell that she had almost immediate relief when the wound was drained. I was pleased with her reaction to the rubber snake upon her return to the island.
I too was amazed at the puss that was coming out of her poor little leg. I've never been bitten by a snake, so I had no idea that something so yucky could happen. That scene took me by suprise.

I know I'm coming to this late, but no--not all snake bites are caught within enough time to simply drain the wound. I was surprised at first that they didn't administer a hefty dose of antivinen but rather went with antibiotics; then I realised that's a good indication of how NOT in danger she was of the poison content--it was relatively low compared to other venomous snakes.
With bites more venomous, it would've began attacking the central nervous system and literally eating the muscles, which wouldn't have produced pus in that manner.
