I don't mean to sound like I'm self-righteously boasting here, but after sitting on the fence for a period, I finally got off my butt and helped our red-furred apes.

Within the past week I've given the WONDERFUL people at Nyaru Menteng a donation, sent a polite, concise letter to the folks at Nestle protesting their use of palm oil in their products, sent another one to Hershey's, sent another one to Keebler, and called up the people at Post Cereals last Saturday. I also took a pass on two kinds of candy bar that I'm fond of-but contain palm oil.

I hope this "report" of my activities will also inspire other board members to ROAR for orangutans!!!

You'll be amazed at whats in food. :-(

Also I called purecaps.com , they had palminate in there l-lysine, I asked them if it was sustainable, palm oil......I'll probably email them to.It's amazing that it's in so many things and most people are unaware of it.....I take passes on so many foods now
