Not only are really cruddy old houses that have been flipped to include granite countertops and marble vanities out of my starter home price range, cruddy old houses that have not been flipped and not been updated are out of my starter home price range because of the potential they represent to the greedy flippers.

I hope all flippers grow actual flippers so that they may no longer sign a check or pick up a hammer to destroy the character of older homes. They've completely destroyed the real estate system in this country, home value, and demolished the hopes of everyone that can't afford all the crap they want to pile into a beat-up home.
