We were recently watching an episode on Sunday, April 20th at 11am Central, and my husband, who is a carpenter and an OSHA certified compliance officer, noticed that the ladies were tearing up what appeared to be asbestos flooring. i truly hope that this wasn't the case; because of the safety implications. PEOPLE NEED TO BE AWARE THAT BEFORE THEY FLIP THEIR OWN HOUSE, THEY NEED SOMEONE PROFESSIONAL TO COME IN AND INSPECT FOR SAFETY HAZARDS. Please be aware that OSHA could shut you down or seriously fine you if they notice that you aren't in compliance.
OSHA ?? Please. In a resisential rehab job you'll never see OSHA. In my area they only visit job sights if the project is over 1 million Dollars. They just recently started inspections on resdidential housing developments.
@daretheygo -- the point is not that OSHA won't show up at the door to insure the project is safe; the point is that the flippers need to assure that their working environment is safe, for their *own* safety.
