Hopefully Dr. you've found the time to read my question. It revolves around Oded Golan and some other evidence I found from another recent documentary that dealt loosely with the James Ossuary. Oded Golan was arrested in Isreal in 2003 for forgery. The particular forged item was "Solomon's Tablet". They also found all kinds of forgeries in various progress in a hidden workshop in his home along with various tools including drills, bits, and many different soil samples that could be used to simulate a patina. They found the James ossuary sitting on the commode in the bathroom. In this documentary Dr Avner Ayalon of the Geological Survey of Israel was one of several geologists to study the patina on the ossuary and found that it was forged. He said he felt that the patina was formed in the range of 40-50 degrees C. That directly condtradicts your findings. Also furthermore I have yet to find any artifacts that have any ties to Golan or his associates that have been found to be legitimate. This is backed up by Prof. Yuval Goran at the Tel Aviv University. Also, Dr. Uzi Dahar studied the ossuary and determined that it was a fake. Now all this information was in a documentary that aired on the BBC show "Horizon" back in 2004 called "King Solomon's Tablet of Stone". I'm curious as to how the scientists that studied the patina could have come to such varied conclusions? Secondly, how can anything tied to Oded Golan ever be believed again, especially since dozens of artifacts from him have all been shown to be forgeries?
If you or one of your colleagues or assistants please take the time to clear this up for me. I understand how busy you must be but it would help answer some questions that I have.
