so was the corpse a fake too did they not really find it in the mountains i figured the story was fake but the dragons body was real. I thought they just made up a story to go along with what they found in they mountains. Confused

the wing structure was so poorly defined that I knew it was a fake the moment the first pictures started circulating around.

It was, however, still an interesting theory.

there's one part of the body that feels fake for me....correct me if i'm wrong tho
Aren't the bodies of frozen dead creatures supposed to decompose REALLY fast... so basically, the whole researching and finding needed to be in a super fast pace (realistically).
but once again, it's a fiction.... they can do whatever they want

Does the meat in your freezer decompose really fast? There have been mammoths found intact enough in the northern regions of russia and were still edible.

the problem was with them thawing it out like that. Then it would indeed have become to decompose. -_-

I spent a week waiting to watch this show because I thought they really found a dragon...I watched the show for 2 hours. 20 minutes before the show is over they confess it was all made up they never actually found a dragon, it was all a story.. how disapointing. I dont think I will watch animal planet anymore. I always thought they were factual but I guess not.

man... if you REALLY watched from the very beginning... you'll hear "If we found a corpse of a dragon"... "IF" is the keyword

Too true Irannah... And what is really REALLY scary here is just how easily so many kids, and adults were sucked in to the media hype... All without stopping for a second to ponder why none of this was on the main news channels, newspapers, magazines.... Roll Eyes

T.V. is the most abused educational tool mankind has created. And that too is sad.

Irannah I have some ideas I need to bounce off your vetrinary head... please write me at Maj_Spotter@yahoo.com ref Dragons

i would have to say it was obvious that is wasnt true i mean if they had really found a dragon in the ice it would have made the news it wouldnt have been confined to animal planet and the "if" really did imply that it was all theoretical but it was still awsome

I think it preserves the body. Anyone remember that ice guy those scientists found?

I kinda knew that it was fake. Off course, part of me really wanted it to be real. The first time I saw that commercial I got really excited (didn't really think). But really, they way that they presented that commercial made it seem real.

"Deep in the Carpathian Mountains, an amazing discovery has been made..." (Made it sound like they really found something) "...A completely intact, perfectly preserved body has been found..." (Again, same reason) "...A creature we all thought was a legend may have actually existed..." (This actually kinda proves that they really didn't find anything. If they had they wouldn't have used the words "may have".)

I don't see how people could believe the discovery was real in the first place. It would have been all over the news. Nobody is going to find a dragon carcas and think lets contact Animal Planet so that they can make a special. They would have contacted the FBI or something and would have been famouse from the start. Not making a special for three years.

i have to agree there with owlking. there are many resons you can see that it is not real. for one, it would be all over the news. two, there would be more that three people working on it. three, you wouldnt have it in a random wooden building, it would be in a lab. four, they would have more equipment than that. five, the wings would be MUCH bigger. like on the lord of the rings, those dragons, watch and see how big their wings are, that is realistic. even with that amount of hydrogen, it wouldnt be enough force to even let it glide. also, they wouldnt have been able to come up with the different species of dragons for years, it would take forever to be sure of that.
and i can assure you that they do exist. no im not a crack head or a psyco freak, i work with them. if you dont believe me, well, let me know and i will tell you more aboutit.
