The first time I tasted this I had to get the recipe(be warned, it's not diet-friendly food LOL). I believe they're different variations of this dessert.
Just mix the following ingredients together and let it sit overnight in the fridge to chill.
2 large cans of fruit cocktail(Drain well) 1 package of shreddded young coconut(Thawed & Drained) 1 can condensed milk 2 cans of Nestle Cream 2 bottles of Nata De Cocoa(Drain well)
NB.: I prefer to use one can of Regular Fruit cocktail and one can of Tropical Fruit Cocktail.
Hi, how about a variation of the recipe? I always add julienned jackfruit preserves, chopped peanuts, raisins and sweet yellow corn. Instead of using a whole can of condense milk, you can just keep on adding a little at a time until you achieve the desired sweetness. This is how my mom prepares her buko salad.
This sounds really interesting. I am not sure what Nestle Cream and Nata De Cocoa are. Could you please explain - and what dept. in the supermarket are they found in?
I foung the Nestle cream and the Nata DE Cocoa in the Hong Kong Trading market in my area You may have to locate some type of asian market where you are
Thanks so much. Where I live, in North Carolina, I'm not sure that we even have such a thing as an Asian market. I'll have a look at Whole Foods or Fresh Market. We have lovely supermarkets with a wide range of ethnic foods now, but I haven't seen either of these items yet. Now I have a quest!
hey kibbstwin i used sweetened condensed milk but it made it too sweet and i think when i make it again i will not use the nata de cocoa cause i didnt think it did much for the recipe
