i've decided to get a bird but i'm not sure if i should get one or two. i would be getting eather a cockatiel or parakeet.

well, it depends on your day schedule. 2 would be better if you were gone for long periods at a time like you worked longs shifts or went to school. if you had a lot of time to spend at home, then 1 bird would be just fine.
