i,m glad i saw your question! give me any chance to talk about my parrot and i,ll take it. my sun conure lucy is fantastic. i love the way she runs down into my shirt and sleeps there while i go about my chores. keeps her safe from the cat too. or she simply likes to be down there and play peek a boo. the way she rolls onto her back to play, and the way she cuddles under the blankets at night, just for a little while while i watch t.v. i lift up the blankets, she runs under and directly into my hand, head first and tucks in. she rolls onto her side and sleeps untill i put her into her cage for the night. then she runs to my husband because she doesn,t want to go. its that whole good cop, bad cop thing. she is adorable. i love the outdoor birds as well, but parrots are wonderful little additions to any family.
This is a hard question. I love all kinds of birds, especially budgies, finches, and tiels along with all other parrots but I have to cay cockatiels are my fave. Ash and Misty are just so cute and entertaining. Ash will sit and talk with you for hours and Misty's just a sweetheart (or atleast will be). But I love my budgies, Hermes, as well along with our two remaining zebra finches Lucky and Sheils (mother and son... dad and two daughters are no longer with us =[... That's what we get for having cats and a cold house).
I have had cockatiels and parakeets as well, but I love my doves! Right now I have 3. Not the best number to have, especially since I have 2 females, but one of my males died, and the other male and female are from different hatchings of that pair. The mom is named Holly, the son is Fruitcake, and the daughter is Eggnog. They are my babies.
