i have two 'teils, Polly and Pippin. In their cage i keep two bowls for food, a small one and a bigger one. What's wierd is that Pippin only eats out of the small dish. polly also eats out of it more to, but if we take it away she'l use the other. Pippin though, doesn't. Im just wondering why he do this..??

Thanx! Cool

Some birds are just more picky than others. Usually it is a new bowl that birds will be a little weird around. My African Grey can be really picky and has to be introduced to a new food bowl over a period of a week. Usually cockatiels are pretty laid-back about those things, but it may just be part of your bird's personality. Or it may be because of something else, like habit. Did you have the smaller bowl in there before the larger one?

Shannon8787,

Well we got Pippin from a friend, and they gave us both the small and little bowl. But mabey your right. We've only had him for a little while, and he's still getting use to our house, so mabe its just that hes not secure and he feels better with that perticular dish??? Confused

thanx
