I love my bird but I have some Qustions about her/him ,my dog is getting older and she wants to spend more with my mom and I want my bird to be in my room with me do you have any tips? what does it mean when they bend there head to the side when you look at them is it the same as when a dog does it? thank you for your help
If a bird is going to be staying in one particular room, I recommend putting it in an area near a window and free from drafts. Make sure that the room is not to isolate the bird, but just to keep it safe. I've found that sometimes when you isolate a bird to one room, they get less attention. So, just be sure to remember your friend in there. Also, about the cocking of the head. Parrots are prey animals and their eyes are situated on the sides of their head and not in the front (like a dog or cat, or even a bird of prey like an owl). A bird will often cock its' head with one eye situated on an object to inspect it more closely. This is probably what your bird is doing.
