So I just bought two new birds, and although they're still pretty afraid of my hand (won't go on my finger) they are letting me pet them, and no longer fly away as long as I don't make any sudden movements. this is a good sign right? They should eventually be more willing to go on my finger and such yes?

Ya, it probaly just takes a little while to get used to you. My friend had a bird and when she first got it wouldn't go near her! But now you can't even seperate the bird from her(or else you'll get bit). They are really close now.I had a cockatiel once but someone left the back door open so when I walked past with him on my shoulder he flew off. Frown What kind of birds did you get? Smile

Budgies... I decided not to clip their wings, the ones I had years ago didn't have them clipped, but I also don't remember having to do any training or anything whatsoever. I think they must've been handled & trained before...
