I was given a cockatiel that was found in a backyard pool and when no owner was found the bird was given to me. I have 4 other misc birds and know this one will have a good home but I'm trying to find out how to win this birds trust and it's proving very difficult since the time he was found he was kept for 6mos and they had no luck with this bird at all. He won't let anyone get close to him without violently "freaking out". He doesn't even seem to know what to do with or have any interrested in any kind of toys or treats. Please if anyone can help. I want him to have not only a healthy proper home but I want him to be "happy" as well.
