My little cuties Sunny and Rainy are two Budgies that are a highlight of my life. Rainy, however, is a little more aggressive than Sunny. She bites me and attacks Sunny sometimes drawing blood. I have tried separating them but Sunny loves her. As for her biting me I have tried sticking my hand in the cage for brief moments and then moving my arm to her after a period of time but she still bites and is afraid. I got a new cage to reduce the chance of a fight. Is this just love? And how do I get her to not bite?
Thanks.

birds are a lot like little kids, you need to baby talk to them, or talk to them kind and sweet, it really can turn them around to trust you. also what helps is teach them how to " step up"

when two birds are together, they get really really closely bonded, and they just want a third party(you) to leave them alone. I'd let them get used to you and let them come to you insted of going to them.

I have found quite an easy way to tame a budgie. It works better with two people. Let your budgie out of his cage in a small room. The two of you stand on different sides of the room. Give your budgie a chance to fly around a bit and get tired. Soon as he settles somewhere the person closest to him goes up to him and puts his finger under his chest for the bird to perch on. The bird will probably fly again and settle somewhere else, and then repeat the action of attempting to get him to step on your finger. Put the finger firmly under his chest, do not show fear otherwise he will bite you.It should not take long to get him to sit on your finger,
just talk to him softly and gain his trust.
Lots of luck.

hmmm...maybe your little Rainy just needs more room...get another cage and put it right next to the other and put Sunny in the new cage. do not confine them to the cage! let them out in a room to fly around with each other.
