My friend owns zebra finches. She also has a parakeet but she has to get rid of them so she can get another kitten. They are beautiful birds with wonderful personalities and pretty patterns.

I have Lady Gouldian finches. They are beautiful birds, and kind of pets to my larger birds. Their cage kind of look like the Taj Mahal in structure, and I put it in front of the window in my playroom for my birds. Anway, I have swings and ropes hanging from the ceiling in front of the finch cage, and my Umbrella Cockatoo likes to hang upside down and watch the finches jump and peep around. It's funny how entertaining they are to the bigger birds.

We got our first finch a year or two ago; he is an African Green Singer. His song is absolutely beautiful; he is a gorgeous little finch and he's very intelligent. We love him.

I've kept society finches. They are great, and get along with just about everyone. I once had 7 societies loose in my dorm room (yes, I got away with it.) During the day they would fly around and perch on the lamps, sometimes watch you when you worked or peck at the seed cups around the room. At night we would tell them "go to bed," and they would all go back to their cages to sleep. We tried to add a few zebras in the mix. They weren't the smartest. We would tell them to go to bed just like the others, and they would stare at their open cage but not figure out how to jump in it.

I have two zebra finches. I named the boy Fitch and my dad thought up Sheila for the girl. And today I woke up and they weren't bouncing about their cage so I looked inside the nest we gave them months ago (which they like to sleep in at night) and go figure, there they are and there's 3 little finch eggs!

I am soon getting a finch somtime not sure when but when i get one, what do i feed it? What colors do they come in and please give me more advice PLEASE PLEASE OH PLEASE

Check it out, e-mail her nd see what happens. O and they eat seed, and many fruits, but make sure that those fruits are mixed with seeds.
