Most people don't know that the light in a light bulb is always flickering, but because it is moving so fast, you don't see it. I think this would be a great thing to slow down and to let people know that is really is moving!!
Yesterday I thought of the exact same idea as of SourGirl. I think it would be really awesome to see a light bulb flickering due to alternating current.
Every time we watch the show, my six year old twins say they want to see what a light bulb looks like when it comes on in slow motion, and what it looks like as the light spreads across the room. Given the limits of photography vs the speed of light, that's not really possible, of course. Still, you might be able to see the filament warming up as the light comes on. The flickering would be cool too. At any rate, I promised them I would suggest it.
A few days ago, in my Calculus class in college, we were discussing different things in class about Limits. And for one example, our professor said what about a light bulb. So, some of my other classmate and myself said that we should suggest it for Time Warp. So here it is: What does a light bulb looks like in slow motion when you turn it on and then off.
