My first loyalty as a cook is to make food that taste good. I used to be 313lbs with a cholestrol about 220. I am now below 250 and my cholestrol is below 200. I'm excercising regularly for the first time since college. All this and the food taste great. Veggies and Salads included.
Like the earth my diet is not flat. It is well-rounded.
Thanks for Watching

Ok, it’s struggled, not stugled. It should be either food that tastes, or foods that taste- not food that taste good. It’s cholesterol- not cholestrol. And it’s exercising, not excercising. ONE study he read three years ago is good enough for him to believe in a fat-based diet without consequences. Clearly this man knows what he’s talking about. Don’t believe everything you read, Blaine.

(& oh, he's well-rounded alright)

You are so quick to point out the flaws in others! So what he can't spell. Neither can I, so I guess by your value system we are stupid.

Also you assume that he makes his decision on just one article he read. Maybe he read some before that "ONE" study from the NEJM. Maybe he read all the research that is out there supporting the LC way of eating and living.

Keep on attacking, shows you true character!

{Oh did I spell everyting ahight fore yuo)

Spell check is a beautiful thing - spelling correctly just as in the words you use when you speak give you credibility.
You cannot assume that which is not written.

Come on guys.. attacking Blaines spelling (some of these are probably typos, btw)
Really.
I would think that we would all be above such nit picky behavior.

Tsk. Tsk.
Roll Eyes

This is certainly not the way to convince anyone to even attempt to see your point of view.

Sadness.

No wonder Blaine hasn't been back on here...
People picking apart his posts like it's a piece of fried chicken.. oops sorry, like a piece of... uh... broccoli (maybe??)

He graduated from high school, and perhaps he's had enough juvenile antics.
That's probably why he left.

To everyone:
I read what Blaine posted from another guy who came on here who also thought the Low Carb diet was bad. I quickly attacked Blaine because I feel like he is leading and encouraging people to failure (in one way or another). What I said was low and I now realize how I have lost some credibility as well. I apologize to Blaine and anyone else I offended. Believe it or not, I am not here to attack anyone. Nothing good can come from that and it’d be a waste of time on my part.

Thanks, pitymanunkind, d-force-1, & jcrt for hearing me out. I read what all of you have to say and am still open to the idea of the LC diet. Smile After all, technically you could be Vegan and be on the LC diet as well. I could live off of nuts & veggies… Roll Eyes

begood2u -You seem to be high on yourself. Remember there is a toilet in your place of residence just like everyone else. Don't bother responding, I hardly ever come on this site. Now go kiss your mirror....

I admire your hard work and your weight loss. What would be a healthy low carg breakfast meal when you have a busy work schedule?

Thanks, Daisy3. Yeah, Instead of an eggs, try to tofu scramble. You can cook it just like eggs and it tastes the same. Since a lot of you are freaks about protein, it's loaded in it.

Your show has inspired me to start the low carb. diet. I did try it once before, I did the Atkins and I did lose over 40 pounds but once I stopped I quickly gained it all back and then some. Since I have been watching your show I found new inspiration and I want to give it a try again. I am not good at this and I could use all the advice you can offer. I am a boder line diabetic because of my weight. I am very unhappy and very uncomfortable. Any suggestions? Thank you....
