HI ALL from Texas. Don't You just love Blain & his cooking. He uses spices ... and that is the secret I have found to being able to use Soy flour.
Listed is PIZZA & SAUSAGE Biscuits For pizza, I mix 3/4 C soy flour, 2 Tbs regular flour, 1 package of dry yeast, salt-dash, and then spices: Basel Oregano, Garlic, Italian seasonings, powdered cheese (the sprinkle on popcorn type) and Parmesan. Mix the dry 1 egg (room temp), 1/4 cup + 2-3 Tbs. HEATED Heavy whipping cream mixed well Add most of it to dry, until sticky ball mix well. Cover and put in warm spot at least 20 - 30 min. Spray pizza pan with "Pam" On counter: sprinkle w/ flour and spread pizza dough. Use flour to spread out and to keep hands from sticking to dough. Spread as much as you can and then lift onto pizza pan and continue .. to spread. Bake in 360 oven till light golden
.... Add toppings: Sauce, cooked: Sausage, Hamburger, pepperoni, mushrooms, onions then several kinds of your favorite pizza cheese Return to oven until cheese is melted.
This is not carb free but VERY LOW carb.. And if you love Pizza and the crust like we do, It will work.
SAUSAGE biscuits: 350 14 -17 min till golden brown saute sausage (I use hot blend) to make 1/2 Cup
Biscuit mix: 1 Cup soy flour 1 tsp baking powder Salt - dash SPICES: cayenne pepper, sage, garlic, cumin (depends on your likes) Mix dry together
1 egg + 1/4 C heavy whipping Cream mix well
Add to dry and add more cream as needed to make sticky and moist. Use mixer to mix well
Drop on greased or sprayed cookie sheet Large Tbs. Bake till golden brown Cool on wire rack sprinkle with powder cheese Store covered in Frig
These are very low carb and Very tasty
USE the same recipe for the Sausage biscuits Less the the sausage & Spices and go sweet using 1/4 -1/2 cup of "Splenda" more or less to taste. 1/2 Cup of chopped Pecans lightly roasted.
Spices: Cinnamon, All Spice, or Pumpkin or what ever You think You would like. MIX dry together.
1 egg *room temp. & 1/2 C Heavy whipping cream 1 Tsp vanilla Mix well and add to dry. Make it like a cookie batter would be.
Drop on a greased cookie sheet 350 12-15 min or till golden brown Cool on wire rack. SPRINKLE with powdered chocolate
