I am following a low carb diet. Does anyone have any tips as to having more choice on drinks. I do not drink alcohol or coffee and after finding out that diet drinks do not actually work and in fact they only make you hungrier because of the aspartame content, I am struggling to find a variety of drinks. I struggle to drink water because it is so bland, and was wondering what everyone else was drinking. I would be grateful for any tips and advice. Thanks
I also struggle with the same problem with drinking water. I have been drinking Vitamin Water and also the Life (sobe) Water it does have some sugar in it but not nearly as much as soda. These waters taste great and I don't even have the urge to drink soda. If you alternate between these vitamin water and plain water you will do fine. Also Lemon Crystal Light is good make a pitcher at home and add some fresh lemons and it taste great.
I tried Crystal Lights (lemon) Hyrdation that you add to a 16 oz or so bottle of water. It's really good, I mean, I actually want to drink it. Also, I drink a lot of tea. When I was younger, I had to have sweet tea, but after I started to drink it icy cold with no sweetner, I can't stand the sweet tea anymore. Jasmine green tea is my favorite.
I love Crystal light and it comes in many flavors. Strawberry Tangerine and raspberry ice are my fav. Also, Coke now has some Splenda products as well as 7up and Diet Rite. That'll give you some variety!
First of all, water should be the staple of any diet. Whether you're trying to gain weight or lose it. But I understand the body's cravings so here are some other things I drink on a daily basis:
Lipton Green Tea (Iced and sweetened with Splenda) Lipton Green Tea To Go Iced Tea Mix (Tons of flavors. Add to water) Tropicana Light Lemonade or Fruit Punch (No aspartame. 2 Carbs per 8 oz.) Powerade Zero (0 carbs, 0 calories)
Powerade Zero comes in 32 oz. bottles. That's 4 servings per bottle. Manufacturer's can only put 0 calories per serving on a Nutrition Facts label if it contains 4 or less calories per serving. Since 1 carb is 4 calories, there is at most 4 carbs per bottle.
