I am absolutely pleased with this show, for many reasons, but the one that most impresses me is the dignity and respect that Bruce brings to this endeavour.

I have watched many a documenary or hosted show about many of the tribes that Bruce has visited or others that are similar. Many of these have asserted that they will truly get to know the people and understand the world from their perspective. But none of accomplished this to the degree that Bruce has.

However, nothing has made an impression on me more than the respect that Bruce has for the peoples he visits, the dignity with which he treats them. Bruce always speaks to them in a way that shows how much he truely admires them, truely cares about what they have to say, and no matter how odd or seemingly revolting a custom may be, he never shows true disgust and even if he disagrees, he never fails to express his opinion with respect and honor towards his hosts.

He treats and speaks of the cultures he visits with such value and integrity that I am simply amazed. This is why I love Going Tribal most. Not because of the trials and tribulations that Bruce puts himself through, but because he never fails to express to us just how beautiful and amazing these cultures really are and that it is important to appreciate them as much as he does.

I am going to have to totally agree with everything that you mentioned in your comments about the show. No matter how any one might look at it, they have to understand that this man is bringing these people into our homes, to give us a glimpse of what reality really is.

My only true concern of this show is that the people of Discovery don’t start asking for more to boost the ratings, which are the only issue that might bother me. The show is prefect just the way it is, however, someone else made a comment on extending each story over a course of a few weeks. If the man is going to spend a month with these people then I think it would be even more interesting to see more.

I think this show is awesome too. It does teach us about different cultures. you know how the show gets up-close-&-personal with there privates. Well if Bruce wants to really be like that tribe they 1. make him do that to him "selve" (if you know what i mean) and 2. they should not sensor or blurb it out we should have to see the areas.
