I believe if you open your mind too intently to something that yes, it can manifest. I don't especially like the "vibes" I get sometimes from the show, and usually don't watch too closely the episodes dealing with demons.

I may not watch the show too much anymore because it seems when I first starting watching it that there were stories of ordinary hauntings, but lately it seems to be more stories of violent hauntings and demons.

I believe in keeping my mind focused on Jesus and His Power of protection and goodness, and not so much on the powers of darkness and destruction.

I TOTALLY BELIVE THAT THINGS LIKE THAT COULD HAPPEN!! ITS EXCITING AND ITS PARANORMAL. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!

Ok I think the show is real, but I don't really think anything could happen by watching it except you get kinda freaked out.

theres no way. its all in your head. if that was true no one would ever watch horror movies. The more you think somethings true the more it will seem true.

the thing is it probably cant but since your mind is all on ghost when you here a noise you may automatically think it was. I wouldn't recomend watching the show alone if you get scared easily but for me i think its fun. The thing is i don't think most ghost know when its convenient to scare you so no i don't think t does.

Responding to someone who posted on page one, about not believing that the things portrayed on the show could actually happen. I'm not quite sure how old you are my dear, but being a 21 year old woman who has seen things pretty much her whole life, can tell you things like this CAN happen. Now on to the fact of whether or not i believe that any entities can manifest themselves through my television, no i do not believe that. I mean yes anything is possible, but come on people it's television. They reenact the scenario!

I don't think a normal viewer should worry about sudden demons in their home after watching the show. What's next, possession from just thinking about evil spirits? I've never personally experienced anything supernatural so I'm not an expert, but I do know there's no ghosts here and I've watched the show a lot. So, I wouldn't go overboard with the demon thing.

I truly believe that evil entities do not ordinarily come in one's house uninvited. If you expect them or look for them, then that is sort of a form of asking for them to come. But, if you hold fast in your faith, I do not believe they can hurt you -- And, even if they do come in, they can't hurt you unless you let them from fear. No...just keep your faith, and I do not belive they can touch you.

The correct answer is that YES!!! If you watch this show you are DOOMED!!!

MUAHAHAHAHAH!!! (Cough cough--drat those cigarettes!)

But, seriously, no...of course not. What is likely to happen (particularly if the episode was very SCARY) is that you will be in a state of heightened awareness for awhile where all kinds of sounds that you normally ignore...a floorboard creeking because of a change in the humidity, for example) will creep you out.

I've been a fan of the show for a while now. Some of the creepier episodes will give me the chills after I get done watching them in the evenings and i'm home by myself late at night until my fiance gets home.
I had a few minor incidents occur at my old house I lived in, (for example, one night I couldn't sleep and I heard footsteps coming down the hallway and I thought it was my brother and then I heard the bathroom door shut and I waited and waited and listened but no one ever came out of the bathroom and when I finally got up to go look, no one was even in there and all the lights were out) but nothing in this one since we've bought it except for the fact that sometimes my dog, when i'm playing with her, she'll get real excited and she won't look directly at me, it's as if she sees someone or something behind me but there's no one there.

Yeah.

Heck, the running theme on the show is generally that when people work up their courage and take a stand, things tend to get the heck out of dodge and leave them alone.

If someone is strong of will and disinclined to be pushed around, these things rarely come knocking and, if they do, realise they won't get anywhere and leave for greener pastures.

But if someone's so apt to be frightened that they're scared of being attacked after watching the show, they may be-- even if it's only by their imagination magnifying everything into a threat. And they should probably be watching something that makes them feel good, not genuinely frightened for their spiritual safety.

Evil is not in your t.v., just in the minds of some of the producers. Only kidding. There are no evil entities banging around in there, to confining. But everywhere else?????? You are NOT supposed to BE able to see them, unless they want you to. And believe me, you will if they want you to. They are only to happy to scare the living day lights out of you. It's what they "live" for, among other sick little jokes. Been there, done that. TOO many years.

Okay, back to the first entry:

If you think evil can enter your home thru your TV just by watching A Haunting, I suppose yout living room would be full of rednecks of you watch Jerry Springer, and Cartoon animals if you watch Cartoon Network, and . . .

hey everyone!i got a couple things to say:first of all im new ive been wanting to be a member 4 the longest time!!i finally got my own e-mail thats why =) second:how do u do those smiley faces?third:can anyone tell me if my freinds lie to me about ghosts?b/c two of them claim to be able to make ghosts go in their bodies..im young so i wouldnt noe if theyre lying or not and they make ghosts "get in"their bodies at school and i have "met" a lot of ghosts. but the thing is this could all be liess from my frends! im pretty lost so i need some learning on my ghosts things lol. i would appreciate it if someone answered me thanks!

First of all, are these the same friends who told you there is no Santa Clause or Easter Bunny?
Second, if your friends say they can make ghosts enter their bodies, and you say you can see ghosts . . . why are you asking us if this can happen? Obviously you have no gift, so please don't say you do.

As for the question of ghosts, demons, or evil entities entering a house because someone is watching the show.....I think in certain instances it can happen. But I think it depends on the individual. I have been watching this show for years now and have had no extra occurances. I did live in one house that did have some weird stuff going on, but that all started before I was watching the show. However, after we moved the occurrances disappeared. I have not stopped watching the show. There are however some people who are more likely to draw an entity to themselves for what ever reason. I don't doubt that for those individuals it might serve as some sort of open door.

Well, I'm kinda on the fence about it but I can tell you this....I started to research a haunting that took place several years back. I looked it all up on the net, looked at pictures of the house and read reports about happenings in and around this particular neighborhood. Then I bought the book....things started to happen as soon as that book came into the house. We also had a horrible streak of bad luck and things were just generally rotten until I got rid of that book and erased all the info from my history and now to this day I cannot bring myself to say the name of the book or haunting...but I will tell you it happened in CROSBY TEXAS...that is all....

Not sure but , I sort of found out on my own. This was after my dad passed , but it wasn't him. We have big bay windows in our parlor and I noticed a shadow walking past the window out of the corner of my eye, but it was late at night. So I got of the couch where I was watching Soapnet. I thought it was person, just hanging out . The shadow was just standing in one spot . I watched for a few minutes , when it began to pace, twice. THen I just ignored it still thinking it was just a person. THree nights in a row it happened , finally I went out side and it was gone. I talked into thin air and told whoever it was that it was scaring me , and that I'd be glad to help it out but not if it was goign to keep scaring me. I haven't seen it since. Sometimes you just have to tell them.
