Welcome back, Steven!
Please feel free to come back anytime you can.
If you don't mind, I have some questions.
You mentioned that Linda's life had fallen apart, in the show they spoke with her husband. Is she still married? Is she ok now? You have been a very good friend to her. I was a skeptic although I have always loved ghost stories, I used to think people made these things up. Then I lived in a place where things that couldn't be explained happened to me and my child and others who came to visit in that house, so I knew I wasn't losing my mind. Fortunately for me, no scary clowns and demons but something is definitely there. The person I lived with at the time still lives there and he refuses to believe anything unusual happens even though he was there when it did-severe case of denial. I can say I'm no longer a skeptic. Were you before all of this happened to you? (A skeptic?)When things happen to your kids is when it gets scarier obviously. Thank you for believing in yours. How are you doing these days?
Sorry for all of the questions, and like I said, Welcome to our group...NO ONE on here will think of you as weird or strange and most of us have had something we couldn't explain happen to us. Happily for me, since I moved, nothing strange in my current place, to me or my now grown child.

Steve,
What a story. Not to sound all "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and all, but what if the landlord is a bringer of some sort. I mean I could not rent to all these innocent people knowing the house is evil. As far as I am concerned the rent she receives is blood money.
you are such a god send. Keep up your great work. Oh, and for the record I too have always disliked clowns. My Grandmother oil painted, anyway she had painted two pictures of a clown one with a smile the other with a frown. those pictures she proudly hung in the guest bedroom, the bedroom I slept in when I would spend time there. Gosh I hated the eyes. My eldest daughter loved the pictures of the two clowns.I never told anyone I hated the pictures until one day after my g-ma had passed, my Mom, to my dismay, gave the clowns to my daughter. Needless to say they stayed under the bed still wrapped in newspaper all forgotten about.

Im not scared of them. I meant that sometimes they make noises like banging and it scares me. I think I am hearing something else until i realize that it is just my cats chasing eachother around the house Smile

Sadie, I agree with you about the renter being a bringer, however, to some people, money IS everything. Fortunately for Steve and Linda they got out before someone died in the house.

I would still love to have a wolf. I have 3 chihuahuas and my husband has a beagle(he thinks he's a chihuahua) and their pack instincts kick in. I'm the one that feeds them so I'm top dog and my little girl decided she's next but they do fight for that position sometimes. These guys act like their ferocious. Big Grin

Steven,

It is an honor to meet you. You have more courage than anyone I have ever met. I have a hard time beliving that the current family is experiencing nothing. Are you sure? That house is like a black gaping maw. There is so much negative energy there that I can feel it now at this distance. When I watched the episode, it was terrible. I felt so bad for you and your family and then for the Linda and her daughter. That ground will never be consecrated ever again. Too much blood has been spilled on it. I would recommend tearing down the house but that cause more harm than good because for now, it contains them, tearing it down might set them free. I only hope that no one's life is lost over this. That would only give the entitie's more power than ever.

My computer is still down until next week, but I promise to take the time and sit down and tell you the everything I know about the landlady.

Thank you everyone for you wonderful comments. Linda and her family are doing okay. They now live about a half hour away from me now. I spoke with her and Emmett on the phone yesterday. There are times when things are great and there are times when there are relapses with this family. We prop them up with alot of prayers and good throughts.

Remember, a door was opened here for Linda and myself. Even though we are able to close that door we are never able to lock it. So, sometimes it tries to creep open again.

The Priest that we now use is not the same as in the show that was a different one. Father Mark has been a godsend to both families and I continue to this day to being him families that are in spiritual need. A Priest that feels things is what he is called around here. I will tell ou he is one of the most amazing people I have ever met.

Lorraine Warren was also a great help during this time. She was always just a phone call away when we needed her. It was actually Loraine's idea for the first blessing.

John Zaffis was also a great guide through the maddness.

My point here is that is took many people to pull our families out of this nightmare. it literally took a community.

Of course, thank you to Betsy who you have seen on the show.

Will catch up next week and answer anything you would like and I promise to give you the scoop on the landlady.

Have to run and get Eliza from school now or she is going to kill me. LOL

Steven, thanks for coming back, please feel free whenever you are able. This is really your thread, as it tells your story..you've got friends here. I would be very proud to be your friend. Smile I also hope that you and your children are doing well these days. I must admit that I come and check this thread first when I get online and when you talk to Linda, as I'm sure you do; let her know SHE has got friends on here, too and we'll be praying for her and her family as well. Peace to you and yours,

May the goddess bless and protect you Steve, your family, Linda and her family and everyone involved in that complicated mess. May she also bless and protect the family living in that house and keep them safe as well. Cool

I wanted to thank you all for all of the comments you had about the show and for our families that lived through it.

I gave a lecture in conjunction with a lecture on the Amityville case in memory of George Lutz. You can hear this lecture on the internet radio show Ghostly Talk. Look for name in the archives it is under bonus. There were many things that happened with this haunting. Many things occured after getting Linda out of the house.

Linda wanted me to tell everyone that she is doing great now. Trying to get on with her life.

I am still out there trying to help people in trouble. This past weekend I took part in an exorcism of a young woman. People let me tell you that demons are very real. Case after case I deal with and the same remains true. I have stood in the middle of a house with an old man who's whole life of belongings were crashing to the floor. The man was crying. It was heartbreaking. I have a case where a woman wakes up daily with bruises on her inner thighs and bitemarks on her back. I had a case where the five year old girl was being told by her doll to kill her four month year old brother. These are the type of things that are happening out there.

I am currently putting together a speaking tour of survivors that will sometimes include John Zaffis. It is time that the survivors start banning together and start telling our stories.

I am working on many projects right now to get the word out there.

Thank you for helping me do just that.

God Bless each of you and keep you safe.

I just got off the phone with a friend who told me about his crazy house in Union Missouri and said look it up online, apparently he has moved into this house.

They say nothing has bothered them yet but he does have a little brother, so I hope he isn't bothered by any "entities".

Even though this thread is old, and I doubt that after all these years Mr. LaChance comes back to check on it, I just had to create an account to thank him for the posts he's made here. The whole story of the house is so very interesting, and I look forward to reading his new book on it, The Uninvited.

Fear House is so far my favorite episode of A Haunting, which itself is a great show and I hope they'll decide to bring it back.

If this is real, is he still there? Any change or encounters with the entities?
